Application for the 2017 Study Abroad Student of the Year
The 2017 Study Abroad Student of the Year is awarded annually to a study abroad student from the previous academic year who not only benefitted greatly from their study abroad experience, but who continues to view the world from a global perspective. Nominees should be global citizens with a commitment to internationalizing themselves and their surroundings, whether through cultural or academic exchange, research, on-campus activities, and/or community involvement abroad or in the U.S.
Eligible faculty, staff, and students from all Georgia State University campuses are invited to apply for the 2017 International Education Awards: Atlanta, Alpharetta, Clarkston, Decatur, Dunwoody, and Newton. Click here for the 2017 International Education Awards webpage.
Eligibility, criteria and nomination process:
- Nominees must have studied abroad on a Georgia State University sponsored study abroad program or exchange during the past academic year (Fall 2016 – Summer 2017);
- Nominees must be on campus during the Fall 2017 semester.
- Nominations are confidential; however, quotations from the nomination forms will be used when the winner is honored;
- Nominations may come from any Georgia State University staff or faculty member (student nominations will not be accepted).
