Stephen Murray, Senior Study Abroad Advisor, Interim Director

Stephen Murray is a recent graduate of Georgia State University having completed Master’s degrees in Anthropology and Applied Linguistics.  He participated in GSU’s Tsinghua University Exchange in addition to having studied abroad in Erlangen, Germany as an undergraduate German major at Georgia Southern University.  In addition to his academic experience he has worked in customer service and operations fields and the travel industry.  Over the years he has travelled to the United Kingdom, Norway, Italy, Switzerland, France, Mexico, Ireland, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Thailand, Belize, the Czech Republic, and China. Email: smurray7@gsu.edu

Casey Ottinger, Study Abroad Advisor

Casey Ottinger is a recent graduate of New York University where he received his Master’s degree in International Education and worked in the Office of Global Services. His interest in International Education was ignited while an undergraduate student at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL where he studied for a semester in Athens, Greece. Casey went on to work for the study abroad provider that facilitated his semester abroad. Before landing at Georgia State University, he most recently served as an International Student Advisor at Rollins College. Email: cottinger@gsu.edu

Emily Caskey, Study Abroad Advisor

Emily Caskey completed her Master’s degree in German Literature at the University of Georgia, where she taught introductory German language courses. As an undergraduate German and History major she studied abroad in Rostock, Germany through a UGA exchange program. In addition to her academic year abroad, she interned in Berlin at the U.S. Embassy and taught German to international students at the Humboldt University of Berlin. Emily’s passion for international education comes from her love of working with students and her enthusiasm for academic and cultural exchange; in her role as a Study Abroad Advisor at Georgia State she hopes to encourage curiosity and prepare students to benefit personally, academically, and professionally from study abroad. Email: ecaskey@gsu.edu

Bryan Johnson, Study Abroad Advisor

Michael Johnson

Bryan Johnson is a recent graduate of Georgia State University, where he received his B.A. in English, with a concentration in British and American Studies. During his time at GSU, Bryan was a part of the Joint Studies Exchange Program with the University of Northumbria in Newcastle upon Tyne, where he studied for an academic year. As an alumni of Study Abroad Programs and former student assistant & intern in the office, he is excited about working with Georgia State students in his new role as a Study Abroad Advisor. He hopes to help students find their own path and encourages every student to consider study abroad during their time as a GSU Panther. Rosalyn Jordan, Business Manager

Rosalyn-JordanPrior to joining the Study Abroad Programs Office at Georgia State, Rosalyn worked as an Accountant I for the Office of Disbursements for five years processing travel expenses for the entire university. While working in the Office of Disbursements Rosalyn was given the opportunity to learn about the history of Georgia State as well as form relationships with staff and faculty. During her career at Georgia State, Rosalyn earned her B.S. in Liberal Studies with a minor in Business from Mercer University, as well as her Office Professional Certificate from Georgia State.  Rosalyn has over 14 years of Accounting experience and has worked in areas such as property management, travel, retail and telecommunications. Rosalyn loves to travel, which ignites her passion for the Study Abroad Program Office. In her spare time she likes to walk dogs, hang out in Midtown, and crash Real Housewives of Atlanta casting sets. Email: rosalynjordan@gsu.edu
