Scholarships & Financial Aid

If you’re nervous about funding your study abroad experience, you’re not alone. Many students are concerned with finding ways to pay for study abroad costs.

The trick is to start your research early. Meet with a study abroad advisor early on in your research process, explore scholarship opportunities, and think creatively!

To make study abroad a financially feasible opportunity for you, consider scholarships, state and federal financial aid, fundraisers, and save wherever and whenever you can! Also remember to carefully choose a program within your budget.

The amount of funding that you can earn is up to you and how much time you are able and willing to put into exploring the various funding options for your study abroad experience.

Important: While most students are able to use financial aid to assist with the cost of studying abroad, it is very likely that you will need to cover these expenses up front and then be reimbursed at a later date by financial aid or other scholarships. Due to federal regulations, these funds very rarely come through in time to use them to cover your study abroad expenses directly! Please be aware of this and make arrangements to have your expenses covered in the meantime.
