Jessica Burton

Jessica is a Study Abroad Advisor at Georgia State University. Her journey in this field began as a Peace Corps volunteer in Thailand, working on educational programs for youth. She later pursued a Certificate of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) and taught abroad in Morocco for several years, fueling her enthusiasm for global engagement and cross-cultural learning. As an alumna of Georgia State University, Jessica enjoys supporting students through their own impactful international experiences. In her role, she assists in facilitating faculty-led study abroad programs and works with students individually on third-party study abroad opportunities and internships abroad. In this capacity, she values being a source of visibility, showing that people of all backgrounds can benefit from meaningful experiences abroad.
