The health and safety of GSU students and Program Directors abroad is a priority for Georgia State University.
We strive to provide students studying abroad with information about health and safety concerns that they may face while studying abroad.
About GSU Study Abroad Insurance
All students who participate in a GSU Study Abroad Program are required to have this study abroad insurance plan coverage and will be automatically enrolled based on your program itinerary. For students participating in faculty-led programs, the insurance cost will be included with your program fee. For students participating in all other programs, the insurance cost of $1.14 per day based on your program itinerary will be billed via your PAWs account.

Mandatory Study Abroad Insurance
If students pay out-of-pocket for medical expenses while abroad, they should file a claim with the insurance when they return to the United States. Filing the claim can be done using this form: https://www.culturalinsurance.com/pdf/claim_form.pdf
